چکیده

A finite difference lattice Boltzmann method (FDLBM) for the simulation of mud and debris flows one-dimensional cases has been introduced. The proposed FDLBM recovers generalized equations flows, that is, an unsteady Saint-Venant equation, including effects non-Newtonian behavior mixture water soil, contraction–expansion losses (or large eddy loss), wind force, various geometries, lateral inflow or outflow. can be implemented viscoplastic constitutive models studied flows. is validated against previous studies several benchmark cases, steady-state problems, hydraulic jump tests, dam breaks with dry wet beds, slope break floods. Finally, Anhui failure flood was investigated by this approach, results demonstrated a good agreement observed computational field tests.

finite volume-lattice boltzmann modeling of viscous flows

in this paper, a viscous flow simulation is presented using the lattice boltzmann equation (lbe). a finite volume approach is adapted to discretize the lbe on a cell-centered, arbitrary shaped, rectangular tessellation. the formulation includes upwind scheme and high order descretization schemes for the flux term and collision operator respectively. a consistent open and solid boundary treatmen...

Stochastic finite difference lattice Boltzmann method for steady incompressible viscous flows

With the advent of state-of-the-art computers and their rapid availability, the time is ripe for the development of efficient uncertainty quantification (UQ) methods to reduce the complexity of numerical models used to simulate complicated systems with incomplete knowledge and data. The spectral stochastic finite element method (SSFEM) which is one of the widely used UQ methods, regards uncerta...

Hybrid multiple-relaxation-time lattice-Boltzmann finite-difference method for axisymmetric multiphase flows

We propose a hybrid lattice-Boltzmann finite-difference method to simulate axisymmetric multiphase flows. The hydrodynamics is simulated by the lattice-Boltzmann equations with the multiple-relaxation-time (MRT) collision model and suitable forcing terms that account for the interfacial tension and axisymmetric effects. The interface dynamics is captured by the finitedifference solution of the ...

Explicit finite-difference lattice Boltzmann method for curvilinear coordinates.

In this paper a finite-difference-based lattice Boltzmann method for curvilinear coordinates is proposed in order to improve the computational efficiency and numerical stability of a recent method [R. Mei and W. Shyy, J. Comput. Phys. 143, 426 (1998)] in which the collision term of the Boltzmann Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook equation for discrete velocities is treated implicitly. In the present method,...

Finite Difference Lattice Boltzmann Method for Compressible Thermal Fluids

A finite difference lattice Boltzmann method based on the Bhatnagar–Gross–Krook-type modeled Boltzmann equation is proposed. Themethod relies on a different lattice equilibriumparticle distribution function and the use of a splitting method to solve the modeled lattice Boltzmann equation. The splitting technique permits the boundary conditions for the lattice Boltzmann equation to be set as con...
